A temple corridor

Thai amulet knowledge across borders and languages

Thai Amulet Archive

TAMRA comes from the Thai word “ตำรา”: a treatise, a learned text, or a book of knowledge. The name reflects our aim to preserve, verify, and pass on Thai amulet knowledge as a clear reference for collectors and serious study.

TAMRA connects Thai amulet enthusiasts around the world. It brings together fragmented knowledge about masters, temples, periods, iconography, and beliefs from different places and languages, presenting it in Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, English, and Thai so readers can find what they need, share observations, and communicate across language barriers.

Start with people, temples and time

Begin with masters, temples, periods and amulet types. Tradition and checkable records are written separately, so you can see what kind of information you are reading.

Learn how to look for yourself

Use molds, material, proportions and photo comparison to learn what can be assessed and when the actual piece still needs to be seen. TAMRA does not issue authenticity rulings.

Meet fellow collectors and explore listings

Read community observations and share information; marketplace listings are open only to members who pass review. TAMRA considers each seller’s identity, collecting background and record of trustworthiness, applying a careful threshold to protect confidence within the community. Contact details remain private by default, and the parties confirm transaction details directly. The platform does not handle funds, and both sides are encouraged to review the item information, provenance and condition before proceeding—so every exchange is informed and every transaction is grounded in trust.

Identification Guides

Examination is a method you can follow. It is not a verdict from this archive.

Moulds, natural ageing and certificates are kept apart. A feeling is not a feature you can point to.

Community Review

Community observations. These are comments on photographs, not authentication.

Photographs are reviewed before publication. The public page shows the amulet itself, not a certificate, issuer, seller identity, price or previous verdict. Readers begin with a blind look at visible features; the tally is only a distribution of views and cannot replace inspection in hand.

Members’ exchange

After a membership is approved, you may submit a listing for review.

Listings are published only after review, which also considers the applicant’s identity, collecting background and record of trustworthiness. Contact details stay private by default, while payment and delivery are arranged directly by the two parties. TAMRA does not keep card details or customer funds, and encourages both sides to review the item information, provenance and condition before proceeding.
