About this chant

Khatha Ngoen Lan is a devotional prosperity chant in the lineage of Luang Pho Ruesi Ling Dam of Wat Tha Sung, Thailand. Devotees use it to pray for gains, fewer obstacles and ease in their livelihood.

Overall intention: May obstacles recede and merit and favourable gains grow, with recollection of the Buddha. The formula includes recognisable Pali words and transmitted syllables; this describes its devotional intention rather than inventing literal meanings for every syllable.

When to use it: Before work or opening a shop, or after daily homage, as a prayer for prosperity and a reminder to act honestly, work diligently and care for customers. These are devotional aims, not a guarantee of increased income.

This recording follows the temple’s published main formula once. The preliminary Namo tassa three times is separate homage. A single demonstration is not the full nine-repetition practice described by the temple.
